In waxing terminology, “Wax Off” refers to the step or product used to remove leftover wax residue from the skin after the waxing process. It’s an after-wax treatment designed to cleanse, soothe, and protect the skin once hair has been removed
After waxing, small traces of wax and sticky residue often remain on the skin. A “wax off” product or step:
Removes leftover wax – gently dissolves remaining wax without irritating freshly waxed skin.
Cleanses the area – eliminates oil, dead skin, and impurities that could clog pores.
Soothes irritation – contains calming ingredients to reduce redness and inflammation.
Restores moisture – helps rehydrate and soften skin that may have lost natural oils.
Prevents ingrown hairs – keeps pores clean and reduces the chance of bumps.
Wait 2–3 minutes after removing the wax strip or hard wax to let the skin cool.
Apply a small amount of “wax off” oil or lotion on a cotton pad or directly on your hand.
Massage gently in circular motions over the waxed area.
Wipe off with a soft tissue or cotton towel.
Optional: Follow with a soothing after-wax lotion or aloe gel to calm skin further.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, or tight clothes for 24 hours.
Don’t apply perfume or deodorant immediately after waxing.
Use a mild exfoliator after 2–3 days to prevent ingrown hairs.
Keep skin moisturized daily for a smooth, glowing result.
